Are you a facilitator, therapist, embodiment practitioner, or someone who feels called to working with groups at a deeply transformative level? Are you longing to find a tribe of like-minded people, and ready for a deep dive?

This annual training course is taught by world-class facilitators who have a passion for supporting budding facilitators on their journeys. It has emerged out of many years’ experience of facilitating transformational workshops, courses and ceremonies around the world.

The course has been put together with exquisite care and discernment, and draws on wisdom and understandings from somatic psychotherapy, and shamanic traditions. It offers participants a wealth of wisdom and insight in the form of theoretical input, as well as a rich array of practical and applicable skills for working with groups and individuals.

The course invites participants on a deep journey. Whilst the focus of the training is on learning the art of facilitation, the vehicle for the learning is the group context. By showing up as a participant, and practicing facilitation within the safe container of the group, you will develop the skills and confidence to bring your unique gifts into the world.

This training is not about sitting back and discussing the theory of facilitation. It is an invitation into a hands-on, embodied, transformative learning experience. If you are up for it, the course offers you the opportunity to meet your edges; to work with whatever it is that inhibits you from bringing your gifts fully into the world; and ultimately to step into a fuller, richer expression of your essence. (Warning – this training will change your life.)

The training also offers the opportunity to build deep and lasting connections, and to tap into a network of inspired and inspiring human beings on a similar path. Facilitation can be a lonely profession, and being part of a loving and supportive community of fellow facilitators will support you and your unfolding practice, as well as opening up exciting possibilities for collaboration, and for continued joint learning and growth.

After nine cycles of this course, we are thrilled to invite you to join us on this journey, and to become part of a vibrant, ever-growing, international community of facilitators.

Course Overview

“The first moment you enter the room, and everyone is seated. Before the first word is said you know who’s contracted, who’s open, who’s scared, who’s excited, who’s resisting, who’s closed… The body language tells you the truth. The body movements allow you to notice what is going on inside the storyteller. Beyond the story told in words.”  – Shachar Caspi

Embodied approach

Underpinning this training is the understanding that growth, healing and transformation happen at the level of the body, and that embodied enquiry is fundamental. Cognitive insight and understanding are important, but working purely at the level of the mind may help us to understand why we are the way we are, without catalysing any actual, experiential shift.

This understanding underpins the way the training is delivered, and lies at the heart of the tools and theoretical frameworks offered. Theory is delivered in digestible chunks, and is then consolidated and brought alive by experiential exercises. In this way, insights and understandings can be taken in, digested, and integrated at a deep level.

When we work purely at the level of the mind, it’s hard to get beyond the stories and strategies we operate from, that have helped us survive but that ultimately limit us. This course offers tools for working directly with the body, allowing us to get beneath the story, and directly to the heart of what is needing to be worked with. These tools are incredibly empowering, and will transform your practice, both with groups and individuals.

Trauma-informed

Embodied work is also fundamental to working safely with trauma, which, as a facilitator, you will inevitably meet in your work. The course includes theoretical input on trauma, and tools that can support us to work safely with people in a trauma response.

We’ll learn techniques for tracking the individual and the group, and will practice working with the body to get beneath the story. We’ll apply the principles of listening to, and feeling into the space, and discerning what best serves.

Alongside this, we will learn about ceremonial space, and the differences between ceremony and workshop. We’ll learn to trust the group process, and surrender to it effortlessly. We will delve into a shamanic constellation field, and will discover new tools for working with resistance as it arises in the group setting.
